Following a particularly interesting mushroom trip in an Amsterdam hotel, and a refreshed love of drum & bass and hardcore techno, I've attempted to create an album that's just as fun to listen to as my favorite electronic albums. But with a nod to the "other side". Never too hard or too soft, it's a journey inside my brain for the last year or so.

The name "Death is the Navigator" comes from a Robert Anton Wilson interview discussing William S. Burroughs (youtu.be/vPtv-8hqZIE). To me, "Death is the Navigator" exemplifies the symbolism of "Memento Mori", a reminder of the inevitability of death, usually represented as a skull. We'll all be turned back to dust inevitably, so make art, music, and memories while you have time on this planet.

The first album since 2004 from Jason Clark, formerly performing as Strange Loop and with the downtempo supergroup SKL.
